We are excited to host the Blizzard Blowout on Saturday Jan 23 at Hopkins High School.  All games will be played on the Lindbergh Center Courts. All teams/parents must enter via the main Lindbergh Center entrance which is located in the back of Hopkins High School. Hopkins is allowing 5 adults per team to attend (see below for more info).

Tournament Rules and schedules can be found here:  http://www.mnbasketball.com/

*once at homepage, navigate to Blizzard Blowout Tournament for schedules and rules*

Important Notes for Saturday:

  • Per guidance from Hopkins, all that enter the facility must wear a face covering the entire time inside the facility (unless getting a drink of water).  There will be no exceptions to this rule.  Hopkins has said we do not need to take temps of people as they enter the facility.  A Covid-19 Self check  should be completed prior to entering the facility.  If you have any signs or symptoms, you must not attend the tournament.
  •
  • Make sure you have your Team Info Sheet (attached) filled out and ready to turn in to the admissions table on Saturday.  Please turn in at least 30 min prior to your first game.  You will be given your admissions wristbands at this time as well.
  • Please designate in advance who will keep the official clock/scorebook for your games.  Each team is required to provide one person for this task.
  •
  • Teams playing in the 8 AM round can enter the facility starting at 740 AM.  We ask that the coach/team parent come to the admissions table at 730 AM to drop off Team Info Sheet at pickup wristbands for adults.  All other teams should wait until they get a text from tourney staff saying it's ok to enter.
  •

Important information for all teams/spectators:

With schedules built, we will not be able to provide refunds for any teams.

  • It is our intent to have teams play back-to-back games as much as possible to reduce traffic flow.   We did our best to try and create competitive matchups of the registered teams.
  •
  • Bench areas will be wiped down between games by tournament staff
  •
  • Per Hopkins Guidelines, the following adults are allowed per team:  3 coaches, 1 adult to keep official book/clock at score table, 1 adult to livestream the game.  A max of 5 adults per team, filling specific roles, are allowed.
  •
  • We will have an athletic trainer on site.  Concessions will not be sold.  Please bring any snack/water that is needed from home.  Access to water fountains will be restricted.
  • All participants should bring hand sanitizer to use before and after each game.
  •
  • Social distancing (6 feet) when not playing is required
  • As soon as your final game is done, you should exit immediately out of the doors nearest Court #5 which will be marked as EXIT ONLY.

IMPORTANT:  Each team should have a coach/team parent come to the admissions table 30-45 minutes before the start of your first game to hand in your teams contact tracing sheeting (attached) and pickup wristbands which must be worn by adults while in the facility.  Your main team contact will be sent a text message once the courts are clear and it is ok for your team to enter.

DO NOT ENTER LINDBERGH CENTER before being given the "all clear".
