It's great to be able to share some encouraging news about our basketball season.

This week governor Walz extended the pause on youth sport through January 3rd.  However, this appears to be the final extension on this pause and we have a plan to resume practicing January 4th!  The school district has approved the use of their facilities and we will be working over the next few days to schedule gym time and post practice times for the week of the 4th.  We look forward to seeing our coaches and players back in action!

It's important to remember that as we return to the gym, it'll be absolutely mandatory to follow all COVID safety guidelines.

Our tournament schedule continues to change as the circumstances around us change.  As tournaments are cancelled, we are looking for replacement tournaments where it makes sense.  We don't anticipate tournament play starting before the weekend of 1/16.  The team pages on our OBA website will be updated as changes are made to tournament schedules.

As a reminder, unfortunately we had to cancel both our home tournaments in January.  The girls tournament was scheduled for Jan 9/10 and the boys tournament for Jan 23/24.  We are exploring the possibility of rescheduling to a later date but at this time we don't anticipate being able to do so.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the Heggies fundraiser and for picking up your pizzas last night.  We sent home over 2,200 pizzas!
